The Wonderful World of Wine

It's often the little things in life that make the biggest difference. What would our mornings at work be like without that cup of coffee? How much fun is it when one of our favorite songs comes on the radio while we're on the road? We can sometimes forget about these moments and take things for granted. It really makes a huge impact when we do realize this and appreciate that its the small accessories in our lives that help make it fun. And that's exactly the case with wine.
At a nice restaurant, enjoying a well prepared meal, that glass of wine tops off the evening perfectly. We can savor the flavor of both our dinner and our time. At home, sitting back and relaxing to the sounds of music in the air, the wine seems to slow time down to the point where we are comfortably still and at ease - something that's harder to do when faced with the challenges and struggles of daily life. Or how about on that excursion with a loved one, rekindling a passionate spirit that you both shared in your earlier years. Isn't that the same wine you two had on your very first date? Those memories create a magical atmosphere that makes everything you and your partner do seem worthwhile. Wine can be the extra element in life that gives us a little more to enjoy.
Not only is wine fun, but it's also healthy. Studies have shown that having a glass of wine here and there is good for your heart. With benefits to both the heart and soul, it's no wonder wine is so popular. And with all the variety and different types of wine, there's something out there for everyone.
It was quite common for wine to be a part of celebration. Dionysius, the Greek god of wine and fertility, had an entire festival named after him by the ancient Greeks. The people would rejoice in their blessings and share the wine with each other, appreciating the gifts life had to offer. Sound like a good plan to me.
